Energy Leadership
Wyoming’s energy sector is our economic backbone—coal, oil, gas, and critical minerals power our jobs and independence. Energy independence means lower costs for everyone—I’ll champion policies that cut red tape on energy development and production, directly benefiting our district’s workers and keeping utility bills affordable for all families, including military and state employees.
Economic Growth
Wyoming’s economy thrives when we prioritize free markets, limited government intervention, personal responsibility, and policies that empower individuals and entrepreneurs rather than relying on big government programs. Our state’s strengths in energy, agriculture, and tourism provide a solid foundation, but small businesses—the backbone of our communities—face challenges from overregulation, high taxes, and external pressures like federal mandates.
Education
Parents, not bureaucrats, know what’s best for their kids—I’ll work to expand education savings accounts and school choice options to give Cheyenne families real alternatives to underperforming schools, empowering them with vouchers for private and charter. I will also work to protect homeschool families from government overreach.
Constitutional Rights
As a conservative republican committed to representing Wyoming, I strongly support our constitutional rights by focusing on Second Amendment freedoms—advocating for updates to our Second Amendment Protection Act, including civil penalties, to resist federal gun control measures, since firearms serve not only for recreation but as a key protection against overreach and are central to our rural traditions.
I’ll work to protect property rights by opposing unnecessary government involvement in land transactions, addressing federal land expansions that impact our ranches and farms, and supporting ongoing tax relief for homeowners to reduce financial pressures.
Regarding election integrity, I’ll advocate for proof-of-citizenship requirements for voting, enhanced ID verification, restrictions on drop boxes and ballot harvesting, closed primaries to encourage greater participation, and measures to prevent external interference, ensuring our elections remain secure and uphold the principle of one-citizen-one-vote while addressing broader concerns about fraud.
Enhancing Veteran Support
As a proud Wyoming Republican running for House District 9, I am committed to honoring our state’s veterans with tailored, local solutions that prioritize rural needs. By expanding telehealth and community-based programs, we can cut through federal red tape to deliver timely care without bureaucratic delays. I’ll oppose VA cuts that threaten essential benefits, advocating for robust funding while promoting efficiency. Through public-private partnerships, we’ll provide job training and mental health support suited to Wyoming’s industries, fostering self-reliance and reducing government dependence. I’ll also advance state-funded peer networks to prevent veteran suicides, emphasizing strong communities over endless federal programs.
Ensuring Responsible Governance
Responsible governance means transparency, fiscal conservatism, and defending states’ rights. I’ll champion ethics reforms for full disclosure to combat cronyism and rebuild trust. With our state budget growing significantly, I’ll push for tax relief for families and opposition to unnecessary expansions and spending.
Data Centers
As a candidate for Wyoming House District 9, Exie Brown supports smart economic development that brings jobs and investment to Cheyenne — including data centers. These projects can strengthen our economy, but they must not come at the expense of our finite water resources, wastewater infrastructure, or the quality of life for families and small businesses already here. Exie believes data centers should play by the same rules as everyone else, with full transparency in permitting, strong environmental oversight, and clear accountability for any impacts on public systems.
Exie has been a consistent voice for balance: “Data centers get the red carpet while small businesses and everyone else get the red tape.” He will fight in the Legislature for policies that protect Wyoming’s waters, ensure proper wastewater pretreatment and monitoring, prevent rate hikes on residents, and require real public input on large-scale projects. Government works for the people — not the other way around. Exie’s approach delivers responsible growth that safeguards our resources and puts Wyoming families first.
